Port Engineer - Shore Based Position
Job Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Port Engineer based in Saudi Arabia. The Port Engineer will oversee vessel operations, manage maintenance and repairs, and ensure efficient and safe functioning of marine assets. Key responsibilities include coordinating day-to-day vessel management, conducting inspections, managing compliance with safety and maritime regulations, and working closely with various teams and third-party service providers to optimize performance and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Shall have at least four (4) years experience as Chief Engineer on the type of Vessel they are
assigned (Non DP - Crew Boat / Offshore Security Patrolling Boats)
The Port Engineer shall at all times be able to take over as temporary Chief Engineer on their
assigned Vessels, therefore will also undergo Evaluation by Saudi Aramco as Chief Engineer
for the Type of Vessel he is assigned (Non DP - Crew Boat / Offshore Security Patrolling
Boats)
MANDATORY VALID DOCUMENTS
- Certificate of Competency with Proof of Verification
- Certificate of Competency Endorsement
- All STCW Certificates (including Medical Care)
- Engine Room Resource Management
- Passport (Must be Valid At Least 06 Months)
- Seaman Book with All Sea time Entries (Must be Valid for At Least 06 Months)
- Marlins Test (Minimum 80% Marks) with Online Verification Proof
- Medical Fitness (Must be Valid for At Least 03 Months)
- H2S Familiarization Course
- Previous Saudi Aramco Approvals as Chief / Port Engineer Crew/Patrol Boat
- BOSIET
- HUET
- Experience in Maintenance & Repair of marine vessels
- Proficiency in Ship Management and Vessel Operations
- Strong background in the Marine Industry and related practices
- Proven skills in Inspection and ensuring compliance with safety and maritime standards
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and third-party service providers
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field
- Prior experience in a similar Port Engineer or related role within the marine sector is preferred
